We watched Trouble with the Curve for FREE last night with this code. I thought it was a really cute movie. If you can't handle bad language and drinking, don't watch it. Otherwise, I thought it was really good and I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of sexual junk. That bothers me more anything else.

If you are in need of a good laugh this lovely Saturday morning, there is no need to open up the comics, I have something perfect for you.

Imagine all of the joys of looking through Pinterest decorating boards and the fun of Close to Home comics and marry them. I now pronounce you, "Catalog Living." This is one of the funniest things that I've seen in a long time.

Apparently the writer just gets lots of catalogs and puts up extremely witty captions. I was rolling over with laughter at the wicker ball one that wanted to grow up and become patio furniture. I think I'm going to check with my local library to see if they have the book the site created. Anyway, if you are just enjoying your morning cup of joe and are avoiding housework like I do most Saturday mornings go to catalog living for a laugh.

Friday Favorite Finds- Food Carving Fun!

This last weekend I went to a wedding and I put up the picture above because it was the closest thing to what I saw at the reception. It was crazy! They had all kinds of watermelon carvings- hearts, flowers, their names, you name it. Now at some weddings I would expect this, but not this one. The whole reception was put on by a more conservative church and just the church ladies and some family made the food (not a professional caterer), so I never would have expected watermelon masterpieces. Actually I can honestly say that I've never seen watermelon art before, but I am now a fan and hope to try it when it is a bit warmer out. The worst thing that can happen is that we have to eat it!

The whole watermelon carving thing sent me on a Pinterest adventure.
